The Chained Dragon

Two weeks ago I shared a little sneak peek of my next book, Son of Thunder. The response was pretty positive, which makes me happy. I've had some requests for more, and today I plan on delivering. I'm gonna share the entirety of that same scene. But, before I do that, I want to share something else.
BEHOLD!

Good News, Everyone!

Exciting news, everybody! I just finished editing my latest novel, Son of Thunder. I've been working on this one for a while. Finished the first draft almost a year before I'd even considered writing Fixer. And now it's done.
Of course, this is where things get scary, because now I get to put it out there. I get to let others read it and judge it. Love, hate, or 'meh' it.
My trusted beta readers have all given this their stamp of approval, so I'm confident that at least a few new readers are gonna like it.
I've already commissioned the cover art, and, guys, it's gonna be so good. And sometime soon, you're gonna be able to see it. See it and read it.
Speaking of reading it... Who wants a special sneak peek? Too bad, you're getting one anyway.

The Empty Hall

Because Halloween is my favorite holiday I do my best to celebrate in appropriate ways. One way is by sharing things I have written. I like writing things that I find creepy or scary. The following excerpt, while not the most disturbing thing I've ever done, is still pretty good, if I do say so myself.

Those of you that have read Fixer already will recognize a familiar name in this story. Yes, it is the same guy. In fact, this story takes place in the same world.

Haven't read it yet? Well why not?
Either way, I hope you enjoy this little peek into an empty house.

Between Darkness

Got a special treat for everybody. This is the first chapter of another one of my projects. This one is done(Mostly. Just one more round of edits), and I'm planning on self-publishing it later this year, if everything lines up the way I want it to.

So give it a read and let me know what you think. Questions and comments are always welcome.

Enjoy -

In Which I Say a Naughty Word

In my morning ramble through the minefield that is the internet I noticed there was a little bit of excitement about some new app that cleans up eBooks. Cleans up as in removes naughty words.

My initial response was a hearty, "meh." Some people just have no tolerance for anything outside their comfort zone. And while that's incredibly sad, it's not really worth burning anything over.

But the more I thought about it, the more I realized, it actually is kind of a big deal. It's at least worth a few words on my part.
