Happy Halloween

So I promised a special Halloween post. Here it is. It's an incredibly short excerpt from my work in progress "Wind & Snow." While trying to decide on an appropriate Halloween post I remembered this scene. It features a totally new character in the middle of something awful. That's all the explanation you're gonna get. Enjoy.

Plans for November

NaNoWriMo is almost here! I'm sure the majority of people couldn't really care less about that, but I do. I love the self imposed deadline, the mad rush to finish a first draft. There's even an imagined sense of community when you consider that people all over the world are in the same rush as you.

Be Good

There was some excitement around the office today. It was one of those things that are almost impossible to actually accept as real. The street our company calls home was shutdown by the police.

We had swat, snipers, the whole shebang. A man had been fired from a company in the area and had locked himself in his car in a parking lot down the street. He had a gun. His aim was suicide.

Another Share

So it has been a really, really long time since I've posted anything. Sorry. To make it up to you, here is another sample from Wind & Snow. That's my working title right now, don't think I've shared that on here yet. 

I'm not going to give any context to this scene. That would ruin all the fun. If you've read any of my other sneak peeks you'll recognize the character in this scene. And just be aware that I almost cut this scene in half to leave it on the world's worst cliff hanger, but I didn't. You're welcome.

Another Preview

I hope everyone enjoyed the taste I gave you of my book. I realize that was almost two months ago, so apologies for the wait between posts. To make it up to you here is another scene from the book. In this scene I introduce another character. The brother of the God Mage Nathin Trindi. The older brother, who I must mention does not lead as exciting a life as Nathin. At least not until he's exiled for treason....

A Sample Chapter From My Current Project

So, I've been working pretty steadily on a book since November. It's a long way from completion, but it's been a while since I've posted anything, so I figured I'd share a little sample with all of you. This is a chapter from my current project, not a final draft, please keep that in mind as you judge me, but I think it's worth sharing. Let me know what you think.
